Briana’s first fitness tip:

My first tip is easy for beginners and simple enough to be included into your daily routine, stretch. As soon as you wake up do a light stretch, whenever you have free time throughout the day, stretch, and before you go to bed be sure to stretch. Continuity of stretching helps with both flexibility and posture. Be sure to actually test your boundaries and hold a strenuous position for a set amount of time. If done correctly, there will be instant changes and improvements that you will notice and hopefully use as encouragement to keep going. Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.

Don’t forget to like, comment, subscribe, and be sure to stretch.

Get fit while looking good

When you work out be sure to wear clothes you are comfortable in. This can be different for everyone depending on location, weather, and exercise and more. It will be helpful to become comfortable with yourself, and to know your style. This will help when picking workout attire because no one wants their pants to rip while doing squats. Choose carefully, and be sure to test them before you purchase. Some good tests to keep in mind would be squat test, stretch test, and see through test.

Stay true to yourself:

If you are new to getting fit, understand that everyone is not the same. What one person does to stay fit is not always going to work for you. The key is test yourself if you are unaware of your abilities. For example, when working on cardio, set a limit. If you can make it you know to set a farther limit, but if you can not make it, stop and adjust. You do not want to strain yourself by trying to mimic someone else. At the same time, you should feel a burn when you finish to know you’ve tried your hardest. Setting a limit can go for many other exercises other than cardio to know where to start. Just listen to your body not what you see others do.

Take a breath:

When exercising, a lot of people forget to breathe. Do not be one of those people. You should be breathing regularly while working out. This means during each rep you should be in control of your breathing. Deep breaths in helps promote the transfer of oxygen to the muscles while deep breaths out eliminates unnecessary gases. When you hold your breath you lose control of your body and can potentially pass out. Not breathing can also lead to both internal, and external injury of your body. So be sure to breathe regularly while working out.

Hydrate:

Hydration is important when living a healthy and fit life. You want to hydrate with water specifically as other drinks are not as effective at hydrating the human body. It is important to consume water periodically throughout the day. Whenever you have free time be sure to drink some water. With that being said, contact me with any specific questions you may have.
